I did a shoot at the beach in OB and was taking shoots for my portfolio. This day was a beautiful overcast day and the beach had a grayish color which made the algae stand out more luminescent. The pier in the first picture was at a distant but placed at a joint (around the hip area) of the model. Again, i went for the loretta lux feel for a picture and desaturated the skin of the model, while at the same time exemplifying the colors to relieve from flatness. I intentionally make the photos in focus because i want the models to be the main focal point for the audience. The lighting in this picture is dark because of the weather and of the style of photos i produce which are of dark lighted situations. I really like these pictures and i thought they came out really good.
